Overview
4K Status (the “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is operated by MM Coding Lingo. This policy describes how information is handled when you use the 4K Status video optimization service through the mobile app or related service.
4K Status is an independent utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Data we process
Selected videos
When you choose to optimize a video, the App sends that selected video to our processing service. Video metadata needed for processing—such as format, dimensions, duration, frame rate, and file size—may be read to determine an appropriate output.
Optional phone number
If you enable WhatsApp delivery, the App also sends the phone number you provide so the processed video can be delivered at your request. Providing a phone number is optional because you can turn delivery off and download or share the result yourself.
Technical request data
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical request data, such as an IP address, request time, response status, and security logs, to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service. These providers process such data under their own infrastructure controls and configured retention practices.
The App does not create user accounts and does not intentionally collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. We use no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK.
How we use data
Selected videos and their technical metadata are used only to provide video optimization, download, sharing, and optional WhatsApp delivery. The phone number you provide is used only to deliver the processed video through the WhatsApp Business API when you enable that option.
Technical request data may be used to secure the service, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable operation. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Temporary storage and deletion
Uploaded and processed media is temporary. When WhatsApp delivery is enabled, local processing files are deleted immediately after successful delivery. Otherwise, media and processing jobs are removed by automatic cleanup after the processing window. The service is not intended as permanent media storage.
The App has no persistent user profile or media library. Copies you download or share to another service are controlled by you and the destination you choose.
Security
The App uses HTTPS encryption while data is transmitted to the processing service. Access to the production service and delivery credentials is restricted to operational needs. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
4K Status is not directed to children under 13, and its Google Play target audience is adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided information through the service, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where applicable.
Your choices
- You can avoid a transfer by not selecting a video.
- You can disable WhatsApp delivery and download or share the result yourself.
- You can remove downloaded copies from your own device at any time.
- You can contact us about a privacy or deletion concern.
Because the App has no user accounts and media is automatically deleted, there is no persistent account profile to delete.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before the updated policy applies.
